Dr. Call is a Regents Professor of molecular epidemiology at the Paul G. Allen School for Global Health at Washington State University (Pullman, WA, USA). After initiating his antimicrobial-resistance research program in the year 2000, he became a Fellow with the American Association for the Advancement of Science in 2014 in recognition for his contributions to understanding of antibiotic resistant bacteria in agricultural systems. He has published over 230 peer-reviewed papers and has past and ongoing antimicrobial-resistance research within communities and hospitals in Tanzania, Kenya, and Guatemala with support from the CDC, NIH, NSF, and Wellcome Trust.
